Police Investigate Stabbing in the Phoenix Area

Man Arrested for Fatal Stabbing

Another day, another stabbing in Phoenix. A fifty-eight year old man is now being held in connection in a fatal stabbing. The stabbing was of a man and happened near, Ninth Avenue and Hatcher Road. The odd thing is, it happened in broad day light.

Phoenix police said that they met Israel Aguilera near the scene. He was then taken into custody after he admitted to stabbing the victim.

Now, Agulera is facing a first degree murder charge. According to reports, the victim was described as a thirty-five to forty-five year old male. He was taken to the local hospital around four o’clock in the evening. He was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital.

Phoenix Police spokesman, Lewis said that witnesses had scatted after the stabbing, however once they were tracked down by the authorities they said that Aguilera and the victim were actually in some type of argument just before the stabbing.

What the heck is wrong with people? You fight and decide it’s okay to stab someone to death? Quite severe.

Phoenix Police Investigate Stabbings

Bar fights aren’t uncommon anywhere. You have a bunch of drunk people together and someone gets angry, it’s bound to happen.

Police are now investigating after two people were stabbed at a bar in north Phoenix.

According to reports, the bar was at Cave Creek Road which is just south of Greenway Road. There was a double stabbing that night that started after a bar fight at a local tavern.

The two men that got stabbed had allegedly been fighting with a third person. This was inside of the bar. They followed him out when the man tried to leave.

After the fight and stabbing, the third person left the scene. According to reports, the third person stabbed one of the guys in the chest several times. He stabbed the other in the head.

Police are searching for the third person in hopes to question him. They have not stated that he is a “suspect” in the situation. Which I mean, it sounds like self-defense. He was calmly leaving the bar and the guys followed him to finish the fight.

Stabbing Incidents in Phoenix

Phoenix Stabbing

Even though things are always changing, it seems like there’s one constant in the world. There will always be violence. Police have recently released a sketch of one of the suspects who was involved in a deadly tabbing in South Phoenix.

The Phoenix Police Department says that the suspects in the November 22nd stabbing could have been just sixteen and fourteen years old. The stabbing happened near 4th Avenue and Buckeye Road. How sad is it that a fourteen or even a sixteen year old can get access to a knife. Not only do they have access but they want to harm other people? Something is seriously wrong.

The Police say that the stabbing victim was twenty-four year old, German Del Bosque. They say he was stabbed several times, as he was just innocently walking with his girl friend.

Maria Ruelas (Bosque’s Grandmother) Statement:

I just pray that guy will turn himself in and pay for what he did,” said Maria Ruelas, Del Bosque’s grandmother.

Maria said that her grandson and girlfriend were planning on getting married just one month away from the stabbing. Now, his family will be laying him to rest.

According to the local witness reports, there was a sketch and it showed one of the suspects being a Hispanic girl. They think that should be as young as fourteen years old. They say she is around five foot tall and weighs around one hundred pounds. So she’s tiny. They say she has dark, poofy hair.

Police say that other suspect is a Hispanic boy, he could be around sixteen years old. They say he is around five foot, eight inches tall. They think he weighs around one hundred, fifty pounds.

Both of the suspects were reported to be riding a dark colored BMX or Mongoose-style bike. The Police still do not know what promoted this attack.

Police are asking that if you have any information regarding this case, then please call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-7626 or the Silent Witness program at 480-Witness.

Please someone call with information about this case, kids should not be going around and stabbing people for the fun of it. Their parents as well as the authorities need to know what these kids are up to.

Lady Arrested for Stabbing

You don’t really hear about too many bearded ladies now days. Unless of course you’re thinking of a circus act, however the San Diego police have had a run in with one recently and it was definitely not dealing with the circus.

According to San Diego Police, they have now arrested a woman that they described as weighting four hundred pounds and also had a beard. She was arrested for her involvement in the stabbing of a man, who just asked for a cigarette.

On late Thursday night, the police arrested the bearded lady that they say stabbed the man in the neck on Wednesday.

Police Officer, Robert Heims, said that the thirty-nine year old man had walked up to the woman as well as a group of other people and had simply asked them for a cigarette.

According to the reports, the woman then told the man to get away from her things, right before stabbing him and running away. They described her as a heavyset woman with facial hair, she was wearing a white shirt and jeans.

The man had to be hospitalized, but was luckily expected to survive. Safe to say, he probably won’t be asking for cigarettes off of anyone anytime soon.

Stabbings Near Phoenix

Stabbings In Jail

Stabbings in jail probably happen quite often, However the county jails are usually pretty harmless. It’s a holding place for drunken people or minor things. Maybe even an inmate waiting trial. A fight between inmates broke out in a Maricopa County jail recently. The inmate was critically injured, however they say he is expected to survive his injuries.

According to Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio’s office, the fifty-two year old inmate had fallen to the ground and even lost consciousness after he was hit in the face on Sunday night in a brawl at the Towers Jail which is located in West Phoenix.

Inmate Badly Injured in Jail Fight

The middle aged male inmate had to be put on a ventilator.  His identity has not been released at this time. The police officials have stated that he had been in jail for felony probation violation.

The fight was due to an argument over a “commissary issue”. However the Sheriff’s Office is staying pretty mum on the situation. They have declined to explain the fight any further. Inmates are allowed to buy items such as: snacks, toiletries, and other items from the jail commissaries.

Sheriff Arpaio’s office would not say how many of the inmates took part in the fight. They also would not give any additional information about the inmate who had been severely injured.

It’s really hard to tell why the police authorities are keeping so quiet about the situation. Could be a gang related incident, maybe their family doesn’t know they’re there or whatever reason.

Teens Stabbed Due to Racially Related Attack

A mother claims that her son and two of his friends had been stabbed while they were skateboarding on a Saturday night. She calls it a “racially motivated attack”. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating the incident. The stabbing happened around eleven o’clock at night in the Anthem area.

Two of the teens have suffered from several stab wound in various areas of their body including their: legs and arms. Luckily both teens are expected to make a full recovery.

Sunny Bowen, the mother of one of the teens, was out with some friends when she got a very scary phone call from the local hospital.

Mother’s Statement About The Teens Being Stabbed

It was quite possibly the worst night of my life the worst feeling ever, because they didn’t elaborate. I didn’t know if he was stabbed bad enough he was going to die.

Sunny stated that her young son, who is only fifteen years old and his two friends had been skateboarding around their neighborhood. That is when they claim that a group of adult men pulled up to them and the men were in a white pickup truck.

Sunny’s Statement:

He said they had masks over their face, and I said ‘masks like a Halloween masks’ and he said ‘no, more like what a KKK mask looks like, They were screaming the ‘N’ word at the children, and I mean these were adult men.

According to the statement, all three of the teen males are bi-racial.

Sunny’s Statement:

It’s horrible to even think that in this day and age that that is an issue.Whoever this was, I mean they were adult men, attacking

children obviously in a racially motivated hate crime of some sort and they need to be brought to justice.

The boys did the right thing by running to a nearby home and calling 911. The teens said that the pickup truck had a large white cross on the back of it. Hopefully police can find their attackers.

Severe Stabbing in Phoenix

Police Arrest Man Involved in Phoenix Stabbing

Phoenix police arrested the husband of a woman who was found stabbed to death in her west Phoenix home and were preparing to submit murder charges against the man, Phoenix police said late Monday morning.

Police said Jaime Silerio-Orozco, 45, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in death of 42-year-old Maria Del Refugio Soto.

Police said Silerio-Orozco initially told officers that he had seen someone running from his house near 75th Avenue and Crittenden Lane, but he later admitted to investigators that he had stabbed Soto, said Sgt. Vince Lewis, a Phoenix police spokesman.

Police were originally called to the home about 9:30 p.m. Sunday where they found Soto dead, Lewis said.

Neighbors said the woman’s husband and son were home at the time of the stabbing; a daughter moved out several weeks ago.

“If it’s what I think it is — and I hope it’s not what I think it is — then this is very sad news,” said neighbor Yvonne Diaz, 46.

Diaz said that the family is “very sweet” and the woman is going to be missed, adding that, “she was very generous to everyone in the neighborhood.”

Bus Stabbing in Phoenix

Phoenix police identified the suspect Sunday in a weekend stabbing at a bus stop that left the victim in critical condition.

The suspect, Louis York, 41, walked up to officers Saturday morning as they were setting up a perimeter in the area of 37th Avenue and Medlock.

Police said York made some comments that led them to believe he was the suspect, said Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson.

York was taken into custody without incident.

Thompson said the stabbing occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. at the northbound bus stop north of Camelback Road on 35th Avenue.

Witnesses said York stabbed 30-year-old Matthew Jones for no known reason.

Jones was rushed to the hospital with a stab wound to the abdomen. He is not expected to survive, a court document stated.

Suspect Flees the Scene

The suspect fled the scene, but later approached officers.

There is no known motive other than the suspect indicated he may have mental problems, Thompson said.

Investigators from the Violent Crimes Bureau processed the scene and interviewed the witnesses and suspect.

York told officers he was recently released from a mental health hospital and, prior to his release, informed staff that he would kill someone once he was freed, according to court paperwork.

The suspect told detectives he obtained the knife that morning from a friend’s house and kept it in his waistband for protection because people were following him.

York got on a bus at 15th Avenue and Camelback Road and saw the victim, whom he believed he had seen at a drug house two days before, the court document stated.

Stabbing Suspect

York and Jones got off the bus at 35th Avenue and Camelback Road and waited at the bus stop for a northbound bus.

While waiting, York said the victim looked at him and started to manipulate his waist while two other people appeared suspicious, police said.

York said he removed the knife from his waistband and stabbed the victim once, the court document said. York said the knife got stuck and he cut his hand on the blade.

According to court paperwork, York said he had been smoking and injecting crystal methamphetamine recently and was not taking his medication for paranoia.

Suspect in Phoenix Stabbing

Phoenix police have one suspect in custody and are looking for another after a fatal stabbing near Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road early Monday morning.

Von Richard Mraz, 55, was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of second-degree murder.

According to the police report, Mraz was sleeping near a building when a 25- to 35-year-old man tried to steal some of his personal property. Mraz told police that he was awakened by the victim going through his pockets and removing a sheathed knife from his pants belt. He said the man fled but left his cellphone at the scene and later returned.

Stabbing Victim

Mraz alerted others sleeping in the area and a fellow transient confronted the man, according to police. The three men ended up in a fight and the alleged robber was stabbed several times.

The injured man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police searched the area and took Mraz into custody.

They are still looking for a suspect described as a white male, 60 to 65 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with long blond hair. He is known to frequent some of the businesses in the area.

The business parking lots in the area were closed off for the investigation.
