Arizona Lawmaker Makes Proposal to Legalize Marijuana

Arizona Lawmaker Making Plans to Legalize Marijuana

Marijuana has been a hot topic since President Obama won the election. Arizona lawmaker has decided to make plans for a proposal. What kind of proposal? One to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. When is this happening? Well he’s making plans to introduce a proposal next year. This is before a similar proposal could get decided by voters which would be in 2016.

The Arizona Capitol Times Report:

Republican Rep. Ethan Orr of Tucson plans to make the case to fellow conservatives that a voter-approved measure is nearly impossible to change once it is approved and not the way to set up a complicated regulation and taxation system for the drug.

Legalizing Marijuana has been a heated subject for a long time. People believe legalizing marijuana is the “beginning” of the end. I think that’s crazy talk. Let’s legalize it and gay marriage and move on. Everyone has a right to live the way they want to, as long as it’s not hurting anyone else with however you choose to live your life. Advocates for legalizing marijuana for recreational use are wanting to put their proposal on the Arizona ballot in 2016. Looks like they might not have to if this new bill gets passed.

Voters have been very loud with their opinions, whether you are for it or against it it’s been very clear that the majority of voters have approved the use of marijuana to treat chronic pain, cancer, as well as other medical conditions. It’s been ok for medical use, so why not recreational use?

However, Republican Represent-or Bob Thorpe. Bob is for Flagstaff area and he is pretty concerned about what he has been hearing about Colorado’s legalization experiment.

UPS Worker Trades $160,000 Diamond for $20 Worth of Marijuana

Man Trades $160,000 Diamond for a Little Marijuana

A former UPS worker has been accused of stealing a packaged that contained a $160,000 diamond. The man then traded the valuable jewel for a measly twenty dollars worth of marijuana. Seriously? How crazy can people get now days?! A gorgeous, valuable diamond for freaking twenty dollars worth of drugs? Apparently he wasn’t a smart UPS worker.

According to the court documents, twenty year old Walter Earl Morrison was working for the UPS while he was unloading a plane in the cargo section of the Sky Harbor Airport. Walter bravely but stupidly stuffed the package under his shirt. Morrison for whatever reason, thought the packaged had contained cash, however when he opened that package he was surprised to find the diamond. Why would he automatically assume cash was in a package? People these days blow my mind.

House of Diamonds Owner, Brent Taubman’s Statement about the Price Diamond

Any single stone over $100,000 is an expensive stone.

According to the documents, Morrison allegedly traded the expensive diamond for the marijuana before he was caught. Are you kidding me? According to a UPS spokesperson, luckily the stolen diamond was recovered and then delivered to the person it was intended to go to in the first place. It’s no surprise that UPS then fired Walter Morrison for his crazy actions. The authorities charged Walter Morrison for felony theft last week. At the Morrison home the man who was there would not open the door or make any comments on the matter.

How ridiculously crazy is this case? Who would be crazy enough to trade a diamond for a little bit of marijuana. Hopefully the silly Walter has learned his lesson and when he comes out of jail he’ll be a new man on the straight and narrow. No more marijuana.

Drug trafficking is sadly becoming a pretty popular thing. People are getting big time into the drug trafficking and making thousands of dollars on it. A recent breakthrough in the Phoenix drug trafficking case left 14 defendants to be judged and prosecuted. The federal prosecutors stated that the final defendant in the case involved a Phoenix Marijuana trafficking and robbery operation has now been sentenced.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Arizona stated that Issac Reed who is thirty-two years old has been sentenced on Thursday for two years in prison.  Issac Reed didn’t fight the charges, he pleaded guilty back in February to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute marijuana.

14 Defendants All Sentenced for Drug Trafficking

The authorities say that fourteen of the defendants have now all been sentenced for their roles in the marijuana drug trafficking as well as some armed robberies as well as a fatal shooting of a “co-conspirator”. According to the prosecutors, they have been doing the drug trafficking gig for quite a while. The organization has been going on since September 2009 to January 2011. The had a pretty good run at it. first the would steal the marijuana from the deals and then divide it among themselves so that they could sale it locally or even out of state.

According to the prosecutors, the fourteen defendants also made an attempt to steal almost 200 pounds of marijuana. Their attempt at the theft led to the death of Brandon Edwards. Hopefully when these fourteen people return to civilization, they’ve learned their lesson and will get their lives on track. Maybe this will also be a warning to others who are on this kick and see that eventually, you will get caught and suffer the consequences of your actions.
