Man Pleads Guilty for Killing Nephew

Phoenix Man Guilty of Killing His Nephew

On July 11th a Phoenix man pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder for the death of his nephew. This was in 2012 that he killed his nephew, who was just an infant.

The Maricopa County the prosecutors said that, the guilty-Manuel Antonio Gonzalez plead guilty to the murder on Friday. Manuel is to appear in court to be sentenced on September 5th.

On October 2012 the Phoenix Fire Department crews were called and responded to a drowning call at a home in the area. The crews from the Fire Department reported that they found a twenty-one month old (Xavier Becerra Martinez) hurt. However, his injuries were not consistent with drowning.

The fire crews then called the Phoenix Police department and transported the little boy and Gonzalez to the hospital. The toddler however, sadly later died.

Authorities Investigate the Nephew Drowning

The Police said that the homicide investigators that discovered Mr. Gonzalez was watching his two small children and his nephew, Xavier at the time of the incident.

Gonzalez told the police investigators that Xavier was playing with a water hose and then drowned in the puddle of water.  However, the authorities say that the injuries were more consistent with child abuse instead of a drowning.

Man Arrested For Abusing Woman,Dogs and Murder

Man Arrested for Murder of Former Arizona State University Football Player

A man is now facing charges for the murder of a former Arizona State University Football player and Scottsdale bouncer. This was after he was caught after he hit his girlfriend and both of her dogs.

Ian Alexander Macdonald was arrested by the Mesa Police after an altercation, the victims in the altercation said that Ian was trying to kill them. This was according to the Court documents.

According to the court paperwork, Ian’s girlfriend had told the police that they returned home with a male friend Ian allegedly “went crazy”. The male friend had just came home from the Skyline Park on Saturday, July 5th.

At the park, earlier that evening, a park ranger had gave all three of the victims a citation for consuming alcohol.

Things Go Downhill After Ian Gets Home

The male victim that was inside of the home said that Ian was so upset about the citation when they arrived to the house (around 2:40) that he immediately got into an altercation with his girlfriend. That is when Ian then hit her and her two dogs.

The female victim in the case said that her boyfriend had threw one of the dogs against the wall and then started to kick the other one. She tried to go to pick up the poor dogs and that is when he then hit her. The hit caused her a bloody nose. According to the female, Ian then walked around the home and picked up a handgun.

The male victim had secretly dialed 911 and then placed his cell phone into his pocket before he saw Ian pick up the gun.

Luckily the male victim used his head while things were about to go crazy. The male told the police that he knew that Ian had a bad temper and also had a weapon in the home. So while the couple was arguing, the male victim sneaked around and was about to remove the magazine clip from the handgun.

When the police officials arrived, the suspect had told the police that a Hispanic male that was wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt had pounded on the front door while holding a gun in his hand and that the man then fled on foot.

Police questioned both of the victims separately. They told the officials that once Ian had grabbed the handgun he stared at both of the victims for about thirty seconds before he placed the gun onto the floor. The female victim was then able to hide the gun in her bedroom.

Ian’s Sentencing

Ian Macdonald is now facing six charges which include assault, false reporting to law enforcement, and failing to comply court orders.

Ian had been on a felony release for second degree murder charge of Tyrice Thompson. He posted bond, however he was prohibited from possessing weapons or consuming alcohol.

According to the police officials, Ian admitted to the police to drinking alcohol and that he accidentally hit the female victim in the face.

Phoenix Father Arrested for Baby’s Drowning

Phoenix Father Leaves Baby In Bath By Itself

A Phoenix father has recently been arrested on homicide-related allegations for his three month old baby drowned in a bathtub. According to the court records, the father is being held on $180,000 bond.

Phoenix Police and the Fire Crews responded to the home that is located near the 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street on late Tuesday morning. They received a call that a child was not responding after the child was found in the bathtub.

The Young Father was Arrested

The young child’s father was arrested by the investigators by late afternoon. The nineteen year old father, Carlos Humberto Castillo, for the suspicion of second-degree murder as well as child abuse. The investigators made sure to emphasize the father’s “extreme indifference to human life” in the charging documents that was released on Wednesday morning.

The young father told the police that he had left the three month old baby and the other two children that were in the home (ages 1, and 3) in the bathtub with the water running so he could take a nap.

The three month old infant was found floating in the bath tub and had his eyes closed. When Castillo had found the baby he grabbed the baby and tried to get assistance from his girlfriend.

The baby’s grandmother tried to save the baby’s life by administrating CPR until the emergency workers arrived.

The baby was quickly taken to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The father, claimed that he was only asleep for “two minutes” however the records show that his cousin had woke him up because the bathtub had overflowed and had began to flow underneath of the bedroom door.

When the police arrived to the scene, they said that the water was literally flowing out of the front door.

Luckily the other two children were not injured as well. The father is facing charges of child abuse because he left the children in a “dangerous situation”.

Phoenix Officers Work a Barricade Situation to Detain Two People

Police Officers Detain Two Suspects After Barricade Situation

According to the Phoenix Police, on June 15, 2014 the Phoenix Police Officers were able to detain two individuals after they created a barricade situation. This was at a local town home complex which is near the 12th Street and Dunlap in the Phoenix area.

According to Sgt. Steve Martos, the police had received a call that was in regards to shots being fired around five in the morning. When the Police Investigators arrived to the scene they were shocked to find that a man was armed and had reportedly barricaded himself in a home after he aimed his weapon at the police officers.

ABC 15 News Pete Suratos was at the Barricade Scene

According to Pete, the SWAT team had arrived on the scene and was ready for anything at around seven:thirty in the morning. The Situations had remained active for about another hour after the SWAT got to the scene.

Sgt. Martos said that the officers had detained the two individuals after the barricade incident.

No other details are known at this point of time.

Phoenix Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty for Injuring Foster Dog

On Wednesday morning a Phoenix man had been arrested and booked into jail for animal cruelty. This was after he allegedly violently attacked and hurt a foster dog.

Thirty-Eight year old Kristopher Kimmerling is now facing charges for violently attacking a foster animal without provocation.

Kristopher Teases and Attacks the Pit Bull Mix

Police say that Kristopher (a transient) was seen aggravating the pit bull mix for over an hour. This was outside of a private yard that is located near the 19th Avenue and Mountain View Road.

According to the police report, Kristopher is then accused of opening the yard gate and then proceeded to let the animal out. That is when he then began kicking and hitting the poor pit bull mix dog.

The lady that reported the incident is the one who takes care of the dog (Hayden). Her children alerted her of the dog abuse and she called the authorities on behalf of the owners.

The witness then ran outside and yelled at Kristopher. They picked up the dog who was badly injured and bleeding from the head and the mouth. They immediately took the injured dog to the vet for treatment.

The police said that the dog had to receive staples to his head and that his tongue was sutured. Luckily the dog’s injuries were not life threatening.

The police found him near 19th and Dunlap avenues and then arrested Kristopher.

Toddler Fighting For Life, After Couple Abused Him

Couple Arrested for Brutally Beating a 3 Year Old Toddler

A couple now faces felony charges for child abuse for the brutal beating of a three year old toddler boy. The doctors have now reported that the young boy is now fighting to live.

The local police arrested twenty three year old, Shamika Reaves as well has her thirty-two year old boyfriend, Corey McCree earlier in the week after the woman’s son was brutally beaten and sexually assaulted in their motel room.

One of their neighbors told the local NEWS that they hear a commotion on early Tuesday. Corey McCree then called 911 at 3:45 in the morning, that is after he found out that the little boy had stopped breathing. The little boy was beaten with some kind of object. He is still in critical condition at a local hospital.

On Wednesday before the couple appeared before the judge, there was some family members present for the hearing. The young boy’s grandmother also spoke with the News, she was in tears as she spoke about her grandson’s critical condition.

The whole left side of his head is gone. When I look at his private area — his private area — Oh, God.

Brown also said that the toddler’s bones had been crushed.

Charges for the Assault Crimes

In addition to abuse counts, McCree also faces sexual assault charges in the case. Dreamin’ Demon reports that the boy’s genitals were mutilated. WSOC obtained a description of the child’s sexual assault injuries, but said they were too graphic to publish.

The boy’s family asked the judge to deny the accused bond on Wednesday. Both Reaves and McCree remain in Mecklenburg County jail.

Gwendolyn Lee, who is the boy’s Godmother also told the NEWS that she had reported a possible sexual abuse to the boy in March but the authorities allowed the mother to keep custody.
